THE HOTEL

For our visit to LA, we stayed at Hampton Inn and Suites. It was a very nice place to stay; safe, clean, and a great location. I was nervous about driving to it and parking, but was able to do it without much difficulty using Apple Maps. We used the valet parking services. The hotel was walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier and had a Trader Joe's right next door so we could pick up a few things. The handicap room was spacious. The pool area was a real delight and we spent each evening there. To get into the building and to use the elevators you had to use a room key so that made us feel safe. The hotel also had self-laundry services so that was very helpful! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit the Santa Monica area!
