For our last post about the Odyssey of the Seas, I'm going to mention some of the things that Kimberly really enjoyed doing on the ship. A lot of times, it's easy to focus on what's wrong, what could be better, etc, but we absolutely love cruising and think it's a fabulous way for those with mobility impairments to travel.
For the first time, we participated in a group cruise. I think this is a great idea, especially if you haven't cruised much and don't have a very big party going with you. It gives you an automatic new group of friends that enjoy the same thing you do! Kimberly had been following Josh Hocum for years on Youtube and when he announced he was hosting a group cruise, she knew she wanted to join in. The group we were with were a lot of fun and really accepted us; adding to the overall enjoyment of the cruise. So, one of the things Kimberly loved was just hanging out with these new friends and watching Josh do his vlogging in person! Go check out his Youtube channel, Cruise with Josh, if you want to see our cruise. You will even see glimpses of us!
When we weren't with the group, we loved just hanging by the pool, reading and relaxing. Luckily, Kimberly comes with a chair so I just had to find one for myself. We also enjoy the entertainment they provide, like belly flop contests and game shows. You might just need to get to them a little early so that you can get a seat.
Overall, we couldn't be happier with our adventure aboard Odyssey of the Seas. The staff was amazing and other people on the ship were so nice and accommodating. My only question is, Where should we cruise to next?
