THE FOOD!!!

One of Kimberly's (and my) favorite things about cruising is the food. We have always been impressed with the quality of food and all the choices that come on a cruise ship. Odyssey of the Seas is no different! We ate at many different venues; the Main Dining Room, Sorrento's, the Solarium Bistro, Loco Fresh, Playmakers, Giovanni's, and Teppanyaki. Most of these places were included in the cruise fare; a few came with an extra charge. Since we didn't spend money on excursions, we treated ourselves to a couple of the specialty restaurants. We usually do them for lunch because they are cheaper AND we don't want to miss out on the Main Dining Room (MDR) experience. Whether we were having nachos at Loco Fresh or a 3-course Italian meal at Giovanni's, the venue accommodated Kimberly's powerchair very well. If you do use a wheelchair or other mobility device, I would suggest going to the MDR on the very first day to confirm where they are seating you and that it fits your needs. That way, if changes need to be made, it can be done before dinner.

When asked, Kimberly had a hard time calling out her favorite. She said it's hard to beat the experience of fine dining every evening at the MDR, but Teppanyaki was so much fun with the hibachi grill and entertaining chef! We would definitely recommend it for anyone!
