THE HOTEL
We chose to stay at The Paris Hotel and Casino for our visit to Las Vegas and we were extremely happy with our choice. After the fact, I realized that I didn't take a lot of pictures of the hotel itself, so I've included fun photos that have the hotel in the back ground. It was a beautiful hotel and I couldn't be happier with their customer service. We got an ADA room with a roll-in shower. When we first walked in, I could tell that the two beds were way too low for our purposes. If something didn't change, my back would have paid the price. I spoke with management and was quickly reassured that they would do what they could. While we were out having a good time, they came in and added a mattress to one of the beds. This raised the height just enough to make it work for the next four nights. Additionally, we had an awesome view of The Sphere from our room. The hotel itself had many restaurants and places to grab a quick bite to eat. Of course the casino area smelled of smoke, but thankfully Kimberly was not affected by it so they must have been doing a good job of ventilating the building. Kimberly was happy that we could maneuver her close enough to the slot machines that she could play herself. I would recommend The Paris to anyone!
GORDON RAMSAY RESTAURANT
I had told mom that I wanted to eat at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant beforehand as I’m a huge fan of MasterChef. We decided on the Pub and Grill and I have to say, it did not disappoint! Not only was the food great, but the accessibility was good too! Not only was I able to get to the table without too much trouble, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They were happy to change out the pita chips for kettle chips when I told them the pita chips were too hard for me to eat. So be sure to check out the Pub and Grill the next time you go to Vegas.
THE ESCAPE ROOM
One of our favorite activities in Vegas was The Heist Escape Room at The Escape Game. We knew we wanted to find fun things to do on Friday because Kimberly wasn't 21 until Saturday. We have never done an escape room before and it was something from our bucket list. I called ahead to make sure it was accessible and they were very accommodating and informative, letting me know which rooms would work best for Kimberly. Although the rooms were a little small, it just put Kimberly right in the action! She loved every minute! Please check out The Escape Game when you get the chance!
THE "O" SHOW
I had wanted to get a picture with everyone at midnight on Friday to start my birthday out right, so I had told them to come to a show with me. It didn’t get over until 11:00 pm and I knew some of my more “aged” friends would need the help staying up!
We saw the “O” show, a mix of acrobatics and diving. The seats were good and I could see everything easily. That’s always a plus. I was even able to sit kind of close to the rest of our group. The show itself was a little slow for me, but I understand they had to do something in between setting up for all the crazy stunt parts. Those were very entertaining! However, it did its job though because everyone made it to the picture!
THE LAST DAY IN VEGAS!
With everyone going back home, we knew we wanted a relaxing day in Vegas and it was the perfect day to do something that was just for me! In case you live under a rock, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and they have a show called Potted Potter. It’s a show where they explain the books in just 70 minutes and it’s hilarious!
As for the ADA section it was AMAZING! They have their accessible seating right up front and I can honestly say that I’ve never had front row seats for any kind of show. I would highly suggest you check out this show if you’re a Harry Potter fan and are in a wheelchair. And even if your not in a wheelchair, go see it! You will not regret it!
