On Wednesday, Kimberly and I drove to Chicago for a BTR concert. We booked this trip in July and had no idea how bad the weather might be in mid-December. We were just hoping for no snow or ice. Never would we have guessed it would be in the 60’s! Blessing number one! So even though the trip down looked a little ominous, it was no problem!! I was also a little nervous about driving in downtown Chicago with only me and Kimberly in the car. However, we got to our hotel with not even a horn honking party!! Blessing number two! Next, the hotel we stayed at (called the Wit) was directly acrosss the street from the Chicago Theatre and was awesome. Plenty of space, helpful staff and comfortable beds. Blessing number three! Once at the theatre, we were directed inside and to our seats without having to wait in line. We were pleasantly surprised to see we had good seats. Usually at events like these, the accessible seating is far from the stage. Not here!! Blessing number four! Finally, we saw a tremendous show that kept us singing and dancing for an hour and a half. Blessing number five! Then we had an uneventful night and drive home the next day. Blessings six and seven!
If they ever come to a closer city, Kimberly and I will probably be going to another Big Time Rush’s concert.
We also put together a little video to show how much fun we had!
