Albuquerque Balloon Festival October 2023

If you get the chance to go to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, do it!! It is definitely something that anyone could attend regardless of their mobility status. They have close handicap parking; a trolly that can take you to the event, and the space for the fiesta is pretty flat. We did “walk” from the parking lot to the fairgrounds, but it was a fairly steep hill and a little bumpy. Therefore, we chose to take the trolly back to the car and that was the way to go! If you want to get up close and personal (and you do) you will need to be able to cross a grassy field. With the dry weather, this was not a problem for us. It was an adventure we will never forget! Just be prepared to get up SUPER EARLY.
